Ah, April. You are here! Welcome to another edition of ‘how is Rebecca feeling this month?’ Interested to find out? Keep on reading my April 2022 Mood: Too Cool for School.
Okay, I need to be 100% honest with you.
I am not feeling entirely Too Cool for School this month. The only reason I added it as this posts’ title is because of this image I found on Unsplash, which also happens to be this blog post’s featured image.
It’s a cat wearing glasses!
Change is scary and there are a lot of changes going on right now.
I’m bidding farewell to a job I enjoyed doing and I’m moving to a completely different industry. For the past 11 months, I worked in the Marketing Department at Mvintage. I made friends, memories (if anyone who works at Mvintage is reading this… do you remember when I walked into a glass door?), learned so many new things about marketing, social media, planning, management and so on.
However, my true love lies in content writing. This is what lights my soul on fire.
Writing.
Expressing my thoughts. Working on my blog. Being creative.
This is what I want to do in life.
My passion doesn’t lie in social media or managing a team. I am moving to a completely different job but my role will be that of a Content Writer.
Change begins at the end of your comfort zone
I don’t know who came up with this phrase, but good God it hits home every time.
Okay, I am done being a negative Nancy for now because there is in fact, something très cool that’s going to happen in April.
I AM GOING TO VENICE!

The last time I’ve been on a plane was in November when I took a quick trip to Tuscany to visit some family (and do a spot of retail therapy)
You have no idea how excited I am to travel again! My bestie messaged me on a Tuesday morning and told me ‘I have a €100 budget and I want to travel. Do you want to join me?’
The answer was a big, fat YES.
We immediately started looking for flights on Ryanair and to our surprise and delight, there was a buy one ticket, get one ticket free offer going on. In less than two hours, everything was booked.
The following day, I went on Zara and Asos and bought new outfits that I’m going to be wearing. Take a look below! The theme is ‘colour, colour and even more colour’
Fun fact. Did you know I spent 5 months living in Italy and gallivanting around the country? Read more about my life in Italy as an Erasmus student here!
Another très cool thing that happened this month is
I wore a crop top with jeans
Yup. I don’t have the best relationship with my body, and I swore off crop tops. However, I’ve been busting my ass at the gym and have been seeing some amazing progress.
Hello 🍑 gains
I had this crop top sitting in my wardrobe for ages and never actually wore it. I went out for a coffee and a delicious piece of chocolate cake with a friend of mine and decided now is the time. And quite honestly, I felt amazing and confident. It’s such a powerful and empowering feeling!
More cool things that happened:
- Finished Bridgerton Season 2. WOW! Anthony WOW! Everything WOW!
- Published my April 2022 Horoscopes
- Cleaned my car inside and out
- Finally got around to doing a monthly budget
- Made an appointment to dye my hair … finally! Stay tuned for pics.
There are a lot of changes happening, hopes and dreams and strides toward reaching my wildest dreams.
Let me know how you feel about April. I would love to know!
