Hello & welcome back to my blog!
Solo female travel is something I am very passionate about. In fact, I travelled solo many, many times. My first ever solo trip was way back in 2013 when I went to Ireland. Ever since then, I got addicted! So I decided to compile a list of the best places a female solo traveler can venture to. This list includes places I personally been and places I wish to go one day! So without further ado, let’s get into the list of the best destinations for solo female travelers!
1. Krakow, Poland:
Krakow was my last solo trip before Covid-19 hit. And let me tell you, it was a blast! I felt very safe in Poland but I did stay inside during the night. It’s just something I do to feel safe when I am alone.
I enjoyed spending my time wandering around Old Town eating (and making!) pierogies, going on tours and many more. Krakow should definitely be on the list of every solo female traveler out there!
2. My First Ever Solo Destination – Ireland:
Like I mentioned above, Ireland was my first solo destination. I felt extremely safe in Ireland and the people were very friendly. Whenever I couldn’t find my way, the Irish helped me. They’re very warm and welcoming! I traveled to the North of Ireland to places like Galway and Cork, a goal of mine is to go to Dublin when this pandemic is over!
3. Bavaria, Germany:
I know a thing or two about Germany as I’ve lived there for over two years *wink* and I did have the opportunity to travel around the country. One of my favourite destinations has certainly been the Bavaria region. I loved the cold weather and the endless stretches of green, lush countryside.
When in Bavaria, you must visit Neuschwanstein castle. Even if you’re not a fan of castles, give it a go and you’ll fall in love trust me!
4. As A Local, I Can Safely Say That Malta Is Safe For All Solo Female Travelers:
Not to be bias or anything but Malta is a pretty safe country to travel to! Locals are very friendly and you can easily make friends from all over the world. There’s millions of young tourists visiting my tiny island each Summer for parties, events and just to have a good time. So if you go to the right places, you can easily meeta cool group of people and have the time of your life! Also, 99% of locals speak English really well so you don’t have to worry about communicating
5. Amsterdam & Tulips. Perfect Combo For Solo Travel Wanderlust:
The Dutch are some of the nicest people I ever met! The country is very safe to travel to and millions do so annually! Amsterdam is an awesome, open and safe city with amazing food spots and the perfect place to make new friends as well as the city and country attracts millions of tourists from all over the world. While you’re out there, don’t miss out on the Tulip Fields! Trust me, you won’t regret it.
6. Quaint Streets & Macaroons Makes Strasbourg A Must For Solo Travelers:
Strasbourg is one of my absolute favorite places in the world. I visited on a school trip years ago and vowed to live in that city again. I visited two other times and it still enchanting as the first time I visited! Strasbourg is very safe, the entire time I was there I felt very calm and relaxed. On your next trip to France, don’t sleep on Strasbourg! There’s also a monkey sanctuary where you can go and feed monkeys. I had a blast
7. Rome Is A Very Safe City For Solo Female Wanderers:
Oh, Rome how beautiful you are! I’ve been countless times and roamed the streets solo many times. The smell of fresh pasta and the hustle and bustle of tourists and locals is why I fell in love with this beautiful city. There’s no shortage of things to do in Rome so you’ll be constantly busy.
8. Eat Waffles All Day While Solo In Belgium:
The land of waffles! Belgium was also another country I had the pleasure of roaming around and exploring. I’ve been to Ghent and Brussels and the goal is to go to Antwerp and explore the country even more! I mean, look at these delicious waffles. You need to go!
9. Greece Should Be On Any Female Solo Travelers List:
I fell in love with Greece. It was the only country I cried after leaving other than Malta. Mykonos reminded me so much of home and besides, it was simply beautiful! I remember the beaches being crystal clear and the weather was perfect. It was hot but windy at the same time so it made sightseeing in July slightly more bearable. I loved the white washed buildings and also the food was DELICIOUS! Mykonos is also another great party island with parties happening almost daily so if I were you, you should add Greece to your list!
10. Sunny Spain Is The Perfect Summer Destinations For A Solo Female Traveler:
I would like to end this list with Spain. Spain is a great country to visit as a solo female traveler. I’ve been twice, once to Barcelona and the other time I visited Malaga. Both beautiful places & very safe. I made a lot of friends on my trips and I had a blast both times! I mean, what’s not to like about beaches, amazing food and parties?
